The Little Ships Club boasts a 50 year history recorded in the book Blue Sky White Star which tells of its proud naval origins and the contribution to wartime Australia through the establishment of the Volunteer Coastal Patrol (later to become the Naval Auxiliary Patrol). The name was adopted with the permission of the Little Ships Club of England, the members of whom were in the famous evacuaton of Dunkirk.
