Snorkel with our qualified instructor in the sheltered waters off Amity Point. A great way to get up close to Straddie's marine life. Look out for the many varieties of tropical reef fish. You may even see a turtle.
Sessions are available for groups of 10 or more. An ideal activity for school camps - snorkeling is fun and educational too! Maximum of 20 people per session. Sessions can be booked to fit in with your itinerary. Ask us about our great group rates. We have snorkel equipment available for hire at hourly or day rates.
Our most popular sea kayaking tour hits the water at Cylinder Beach, Point Lookout on beautiful North Stradbroke Island. Our two-person kayaks are very stable - the kind you sit on, not in. After an instruction session on the beach, it's time to paddle out through the surf and explore the waters off Straddie.
We stop at Shag Rock for a snorkel around this off shore rock formation - a great way to see some of Straddie's incredible marine life. Climb back into your kayak and paddle back towards the beach. Finish the tour with a play in the surf - catch a wave for a thrilling ride. Naturally, our tours depend on weather and ocean conditions. At times, we may choose alternate destinations from Point Lookout: Manta Bommie - named after the magnificent Manta Rays that visit these waters in summer.
You'll paddle out to Shag Rock or Amity Point with your experienced and friendly tour guide to marvel at the magnificent array of marine life in the Coral Sea.
Kayaking tours depart at 9.30am from the Straddie Adventure shop beside the Anchorage on Straddie Resort in East Coast Road, Point Lookout, and return at approximately 12.30pm.
